Frequently Asked Questions
Below we summarise the most common technical and organisational questions customers raise when placing orders. Our aim is to provide clear information about our manufacturing process, required documentation and the standards we adhere to. If you cannot find an answer to your specific question on this page, we recommend contacting us for an individual consultation.
What is the EN 1090 standard and why is it important for us?
EN 1090-2 specifies requirements for the execution of steel building structures. We manufacture in accordance with this standard in Execution Class EXC2, which covers common land-based construction. We regard certification as a fundamental condition for supplying any load-bearing structures, as it ensures material traceability and controlled technological procedures, including welding.
What documents are required to submit an enquiry?
For an indicative quote, basic dimensions, site photos and a description of the structure's intended use are sufficient. We will prepare the drawing documentation ourselves. If you already have drawings or project documentation, the quote will be more accurate and faster. It is also advisable to specify the required surface treatment and whether you want delivery with installation.
How long does the fabrication of structures take?
Production time depends on the complexity of the structure, the order volume and current production capacity. Simple elements are usually completed faster than large-scale hall structures. The exact delivery date will always be specified in the official offer after approval of the documentation.
Do you supply structures including installation?
Yes, we offer the supply of the structure alone as well as a complete service including on-site installation. If you arrange the installation yourself, we will deliver the structure with full documentation and an anchoring plan.
How is the order price calculated?
The price depends on the weight of the steel, the complexity of the shapes and the required surface treatment. We also take into account the costs of project documentation and any logistics costs for transport. We will be happy to calculate the exact amount once we receive detailed drawings.
What is the difference between hot-dip galvanising and painting?
Hot-dip galvanising in accordance with EN ISO 1461 provides long-term corrosion protection and is suitable for outdoor applications. Coating systems offer a wide colour range and a lower initial cost but require renewal when used outdoors. We recommend consulting on the choice of surface treatment taking into account the environment in which the structure will be operated.
Do you also deliver outside Prague?
Yes, we deliver throughout the Czech Republic and to neighbouring countries. Logistics are handled either by our own fleet or via specialised carriers. Transport costs are calculated individually based on distance and package dimensions.
Do you also accept small orders?
Yes, we manufacture both large industrial structures and smaller projects for private clients or small businesses. Project scope is not limited, but for very small volumes the price per kilogram of steel may be higher due to fixed production setup costs.
What is a Declaration of Performance?
The Declaration of Performance is a document confirming that the supplied structure complies with the declared requirements and standard EN 1090. This document forms part of the delivery documentation and serves as proof of quality for building authorities or investors. We issue it for every delivery subject to this standard.
Do you provide inspections and structural calculations?
Yes, we cooperate with verified structural engineers and designers who can prepare or verify static calculations. If you do not have completed project documentation, we will gladly assist in obtaining it. Inspection records and checklists are part of the standard delivery.
